Discovering Design Inspiration in Colorado Springs - My Favorite Places

Having wandered through the rugged landscapes of Colorado Springs, I've found that nature here isn't just scenery—it's provides profound inspiration, particularly for crafting nature-inspired jewelry. Each place I've explored, from the tranquil Palmer Lake reservoir to breathtaking Lake Haiyaha and the iconic Garden of the Gods, has left an indelible mark on my creative spirit.

Lower Columbine Trail:

The delicate columbines, vibrant sunflowers, and elegant lupines have sparked ideas for jewelry designs that capture their beauty. From petal-shaped pendants to intricate floral motifs, each piece reflects the vibrant hues and delicate forms of the various local flowers as well as the bees, bugs and beetles that inhabit them.

My Own Backyard:

Under the moonlit canopy of ponderosa pines, I've felt a tranquility and strength. This inspired designs that echo their textures and symbolism. Tree inspired bracelets and leaf-patterned earrings celebrate the resilience and beauty of the forest in my backyard.

Moon and Sun over Pikes Peak:

Jewelry designs featuring crescent moons, sunburst motifs, and celestial themes reflect the mystical allure of the dusk, dawn and night skies over Colorado Springs, especially over Pikes Peak (America's Mountain!)

Palmer Lake Reservoir Lake Haiyaha:

Garden of the Gods:

Among the red rock formations of Garden of the Gods, the intricate patterns etched into sandstone and the vibrant contrasts of the red cliffs against a perfectly clear blue sky have sparked creativity. Jewelry pieces echoing the contours of rock formations or adorned with gemstones reflecting the colors of a Colorado sunset pay homage to this iconic landscape.

In Colorado Springs, every hike, every moment spent in nature has been a journey of discovery—a journey that continues to inspire my passion for crafting jewelry that resonates with the beauty and spirit of this breathtaking landscape. Each piece I create is not just a reflection of nature's beauty but a personal tribute to the profound connection we share with the earth and its enduring allure.
